Staying in Touch

We won't be giving out our Iridium email address, but rather asking next of kin to collate any messages and sending them to us every few days in plain text. Data connection via the satphone takes just under 30 seconds of airtime to establish the server link, then the data transfer time is pretty slow. Sending a simple .3kb mail ate just under a minute of our precious airtime. If you want to be in direct touch with us at sea, then contact me and I'll pass you on to our parents, else do leave messages on the blog and we'll get them forwarded again by plain text email.

However, we're still ashore for another fortnight and should have decent wifi in the Cascais marina, so normal-ish service until December. Apparently, the marina also has a heliport, so feel free to drop in using your executive transport! The marina is also adjacent to the rather nice looking beaches that run up from Cascais towards Estoril and Elizabeth is looking forward to spending as much time here as she can get away with. We're open for visitors from Nov 19th to Dec 1st, and can also most likely accommodate passengers for our day race to the city and back on Sunday 25th.
